Boards and Work Items
MikroPlan is designed around one screen. The active board, filters, columns, and selected work item all live in the same workspace.
Boards
Section titled “Boards”Use boards to separate projects, clients, initiatives, or personal areas. The board selector opens from the top bar and shows active boards with their current work-item count.
Board names can be edited in place. Long names are truncated in the header so the product name and controls remain stable.
Columns
Section titled “Columns”New boards start with Do, Doing, and Done.
You can add more columns, rename columns, and drag columns to reorder them. Empty columns stay compact until they contain work, which keeps the board from turning into a wall of blank space.
Archiving a column asks for confirmation. Any open work items in that column are archived with it.
Work Items
Section titled “Work Items”Use work items for the smallest useful unit of work. A work item always has a title and can also have:
- description
- comments
- compressed image cover
- due date
- labels
- people
- checklist items
Images, due dates, labels, people, and checklists are optional. MikroPlan keeps those controls quiet until the item needs them.
Closing and Saving
Section titled “Closing and Saving”The work-item panel closes on save. This keeps the board as the main surface and avoids leaving stale detail panels open after an edit.
Archiving
Section titled “Archiving”Archived work items leave the active board view. They remain in the workspace data until you export, import, or otherwise replace the workspace.
Labels and People
Section titled “Labels and People”Labels belong to the current board. People belong to the workspace and can be assigned to any work item.
Use labels for visible categories such as Bug, Research, Decision, or Blocked. Use people for ownership, not as a second label system.
